Welcome to paulgregutt.com - covering wine-related topics of interest, controversy, and debate. My focus on Washington wines, Oregon wines, and the wineries of the entire Pacific Northwest is where the conversation begins.
I need to buy wine for a party. I live in Washington but will be visiting Oregon in the near future. Is it substantially cheaper to buy wine in Oregon than in Washington? (I'm mostly wondering if the taxes on wine sales are less in Oregon than in Washington.)

I'm thinking of starting a business being a wine distributor in WA. I am curious as to what the hurdles are regarding pricing restrictions, etc. I have some of the official paperwork going but i heard about restrictions on how much I could charge the businesses I am going to sell to. I heard that I was only allowed to charge 2/3 of retail price from the winery price charges. Are there any other restrictions I should know about?
Thanks

What is sold in the grocery stores? I believe it's beer and wine in grocery stores and there is an even number of state and private liquor stores throughout the state. I couldn't really find what I needed from searching online. Anybody know?
I live in NJ currently (for the past year via CT and CA). I have a job opportunity in Seattle and was curious =). Thanks Texas!
