My friend told me she'd tried to buy a bottle of "Fre" (de-alcoholized wine, less than 0.1% alcohol by volume) at a grocery store in New Mexico and the clerk told her she'd have to be 21 (she's 20). Back when I was only 19 I lived in California and bought non alcoholic wine all the time, no problem at all.
Are the laws in New Mexico different than the laws in California or was the store clerk merely uninformed?
