Is britain more european than the average brit thinks?

The fact that in my view we are...stag holidays in Latvia Estonia Lithuania Czech republic, retirement homes booze cruises daytrips and weekends away in france and romantic getaways to Paris and Rome for those that can. Respect for the dutch and trips to Amsterdam, summer holidays to Spain and Portugal and Greece, parties and clubs on the costas and balearics. Drinking French wine, eating European food, driving German cars, the champions league. skiing in the alps. The channl tunnel. Or are we just the USA's lapdog as they would have us beleive. I do not agree with the latter and think we are doing what is best for Britain at the moment. What do you think?
