ahh i'm on chapter 10 of 'La Gitanilla' by Cervantes, and i'm kinda confused. i get that El Galán, El Caballero, Don Juan, Don Juanico, and Andrés are the same person. i think. but what's the big deal with his dad calling him Juanico instead of Juan?
and i don't understand the role the paje-poeta plays. he shows La Gitanilla the way to the castle, then gives her another poem to sing? (in chapter 8)
and i don't quite get the deal Preciosa and Don Juan made. i get that Don Juan has to live as a gypsy for two years. but Preciosa promised to come visit his palace in spain to see that he was real...?
and in chapter 10... what's the difference between "enamorado" and "enamoradizo?" i really don't understand this chapter one bit. she wishes him good luck, but says that he promises impossible things? and who is she telling to 'calm your head, restless one.' and then his reply... he says that he is NOT in fact "enamoradizo"?
ahh someone clarify things a little, please? thanks.
