Thoughts on my prologue so far now?

‘’ Bless thy Emperor son! Benevolence to us all from the spirits, may good fortune be ahead of him!’’ chanted the monkeys below me, surprisingly in tune with the Erhu (Two- stick fiddle native to China.) Loudly, the tumult of the guests singing filled the hall with livelihood. My ears captured various conversations under the singing, as I laid back on my throne uninterested in what nonsense they’re howling about. ‘’ I‘ve recruited 10, 0000 samurais!’’ announced some daimyo, smiling proudly like a little boy, who just bought some action figures to play with. ‘’ Oh, contrary! That isn’t a match to the temple, my husband just built for the Emperor’s son to worship in!’’ giggled another noble lady, spilling half her wine on her kimono. ‘’I’m an elite samurai!’’ a drunkard would boast, swinging there glass around as if he forgot about his hands, even though he was supposedly a ‘soldier’. Many conversations like this happened under the singing, to me they‘re just three year olds fighting for ‘who is the best’ title, to others they’re gods- what a deluded society I must live in! I glared into the luminance of the gold covering the room; this always made me think, ‘‘How does all this yellow stuff make me powerful?’’ I wondered, sliding my elbow to the other arm of my golden throne. Rapidly blinking, I tried to recover my eyes from the radiance of gold, reflecting against every wall, while gripping to the arms of my throne. Superfluously, the walls were adorned with several jewels; diamonds, rubies emeralds, and anything these materialistic decorators could think of, however the walls were somewhat artistic. The jewels created images of nature like; trees for crows to perch on, a sea of diamonds for the dragons’ superiority to be emphasised, displayed under mountains, and cats grazing in a meadow of emeralds, all of this hopelessly trying to exceed my stature even more. Why was I being compared to the nobility of a crow? I’ve done no heroic acts equal to the crow. Bravely, the crow saved Japan from the devil- what did I do? Nothing, I was simply born in a prestige family-nothing more-nothing less. Frankly, I don’t even see the connection between the crow and jewels. Jewels don’t make you pretentious; I don’t think they ever will just like gold. Again, why are the two being compared? This I will probably not understand, you can’t compare yellow, green, blue shiny things to a saviour; even so why is it there to depict such magnificence animals? What should I improve?

Dada Stands for Daddy C/C?

Dada stands for Daddy Ripping and tearing, Destroying and creating, They lashed out like heathens With no absolute control or balance. Random movements of chaos Took place in Dr. Colvin’s house As his wife and children skied in French mountains of Europe. Four of them danced around the Living room in pure elation. No younger than eleven, But no older than thirteen, They tossed paintings into a Fire watching them burn as Many of the couple’s treasures Were found, located, demolished And forgotten. Valuable jewelry purchased on Occasional anniversaries and birthdays Were smashed into bits of dust. Crystals and diamonds Beaten out of their perfected form And thrown into the guest bedroom’s Toilet. Bottles of delicate wine crashed into The floor as valued years of merlot And chardonnay perished for eternity. Paint flowed from the ceiling to the floors. Walls and counter tops were redecorated With blush colors of plump reds and yellows. Not a single room was spared. In the end a wad of money was discovered in The doctor’s deep fridge Persevered from unseen disaster. Equally disbursing the dollars They ripped them to shreds Throwing them into the air Like confetti during a parade. They called this Dadaism.
