Cuyo Overview
Cuyo is in a mountainous area on the north western border of Argentina that has a diverse geography mixed with ideal weather for grape growing. As the fifth largest wine producer in the world, Argentina owes most of that to the region of Cuyo. Some of the highest peaks in the Andes lay in this region, giving microclimates to areas and diversity in the wines. Cuyo is world renowned for its wineries and is famous for its production of Malbec wines. There is no shortage of wineries or things to do in this area as it makes an excellent wine destination.
