wine has a vibrant carmine hue. Its aromas and flavours are a complex interplay of fruity and savoury elements, suggesting cherries, raspberries and blackberries, intermingled with roast game, grilled mushrooms, black olives, liquorice and coffee....
Color: intense red, with carmine and purple speckles. Aroma: vanilla, caramel, chocolate, toasted notes and licorice. Smells to the nose of red fruit and good permanence. Taste: smooth into the mouth, with fruit and strong and sweet tannins.
This wine's deep, beautiful red-carmine colour is typical of the variety it represents so well. A delicious and velvety Carmenere, which displays red fruit aromas combining perfectly with spicy hints. In mouth it's definitely an intense wine, tasty,...

I have a bottle of 1985 Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou, Saint Julien and four bottles of 1979 Vino Forte by Carmine Cellars. Any good ideas for selling without an alcohol sellers permit?

If so, check ingredients for "carmine" or "cochineal extract" which is primarily used as a natural source of red food coloring. Tropicana & Yoplait use it, as do some brands that make port wine cheese
I should include, that some people are allergic to insects.

I've recently taken inventory of some items in my wine cellar. Neither my wife nor myself drink much of this, so I'd like to sell. Here is what I have...
1990 Cristal Brut Champagne (ONE Bottle)
1990 Perrier-Joulet Brut Fleur De Champagne (TWO Bottles)
1995 Perrier-Joulet Brut Fleur De Champagne (TWO bottles)
1979 Vinoforte by Carmine Cellars (TWO Bottles)
Would like to sell as an entire lot, but would consider selling separately.
Thanks for any direction with this...
I'm in the Los Angeles area.

Among other uses the Cochineal insect is used to make red pigment sometimes used in clothing. I did not even know this tell one eco-friendly company proudly informed its potential buyers that they used earth and insect dyes for all their clothing. After some research I found out that an incredible amount of these insects had to die just to make one garment.
http://www.veganwolf.com/animal_ingredients.htm
"CARMINE: Cochineal. Carminic Acid. E120. Red pigment from the crushed female cochineal insect. Reportedly 70,000 beetles may be killed to produce one pound of this red dye. Used in cosmetics, shampoos, red apple sauce and other foods. May cause allergic reactions. Alternatives: beet juice, no known toxicity (used in powders, rouges, shampoos); alkanet root, from the root of an herb like tree, no known toxicity (used as a red dye for inks, wines, lip balms, etc. and can be combined to make a copper or blue coloring)."
For those that doubt this clothing company states clearly that they use carmine as a dye for their clothing.

Here is the link to Tinctoria the exact company I found this information out about. In fact this link talks about there use of insects for their "Sunrise" color.

I don't know what crusade Take Me Out to the Ballgame is on but yes the first link does use carmine in their clothing. In fact it is labeled, "Carmine Tiered Skirt". Take a closer look next time. I mean no offense but please don't attack me (we should not be doing this regardless), especially if you do not have the correct information.
Take Me Out to the Ballgame, I guess we'd just have to contact the maker to know for sure. I know the dye "carmine" is sometimes used in browns because often they have red mixed in them as well which is what the first skirt was shown as.
In any case it is all moot since I have proven that at least in some cases it is a practice being used. I'm sure most companies are not dying to tell you how they dye their clothing, especially big manufactures. All I am saying is this is an issue that needs to be investigated as a vegans clothings choice can literally be contributing to the killing of 10's of thousands of insects. Maybe this is something you are not concerned with but for me this is horrific since I have taken such pains to go out of my way to not take life and the dye process kills many more animals than I would probable eat in my entire life.
