The mountain-grown fruit and the Calistoga fruit produced such remarkable wines we had to share their individual character with you and give them proprietary names. Pepperland displays a mountain personality with a marked white pepper and briar element...
Napa Rojo is a blend of rare grapes, Touriga, Graciano, Tempranillo, and Tinto Cao, all dry-farmed in Calistoga. Using one of her favorite varietals and one of the rarest in the world, Graciano; its nose is rich with red cherry and cassis and it...

The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is quite a bit richer than the 2005 tasted alongside it. The 2006 shows gorgeous depth as it opens up in the glass. Dark fruit, licorice, smoke and tar are some of the notes that flesh out in this...

Does anyone have any experiences with any spas in this area, and even better, any you'd suggest? I don't want to go to a dingy "massage" place that only has intentions of "happy endings" haha

The town in California, in Wine Country. I've lived near it for almost ten years now and I've never found out what "Calistoga" means.
Yes, I've googled it, and I also looked on the website, and I can't find it!
Please help! Does it mean something or is it someone's last name?

My b/f and I are going to Calistoga in August for two days. We are staying at a b&b and that was already a little pricey. We are not staying at the type of place that offers any kind of spa service and we're not really looking to spend time in a spa. We just want to relax, enjoy some wine and maybe visit a park or museum of some kind. We've never been wine tasting before and we've never been to a b&b. Can anyone just provide some advice on maybe good places to go for a "wine tasting 101" type of winery, a good restaurant and/or just a cool place to check out for a few hours?

I'm looking for a way to find wine bottle prices online.
I have a couple of older bottles of wines that I’m trying to value:
1st is Ivan Tamas Cabernet Sauvignon 1989 Reserve
(this vintage produced only 21,600 bottles and this one is numbered)
2nd is Solari Estate 1987 Cabernet Sauvignon Olmo Reserve
(Calistoga, Napa Valley Larkmead Vineyards)
I’ve searched extensively online for ways to value/price and/or sell these bottles but I have not been able to find any useful information.
If you have any suggestions (links would be greatly appreciated) please let me know.

I have a friend traveling to the San Francisco Bay Area from Georgia in a couple of weeks and I have the dubious distinction of finding a room/wine tour for us. There will be three of us going to Napa, my friend, my significant other and myself. This has become more of a challenge than I originally thought. In all the years I've lived in SF I have only been to the Napa area a couple of times, and it was always on a tour bus or with a friend for a day trip. This time we are planning to stay two nights, if we can afford it.
I was hoping to book at a hotel that offers a wine tour package with more than one winery on the itinerary. I am OK with staying in the surrounding area (i.e. Healdsberg and Calistoga) or Napa itself and I am looking for a unique, fun experience that is reasonably priced. Since we are planning on drinking lots of yummy wine, driving will most probably not be an option, but we will have a car. Any advice and tips for newbies visiting the Napa area would also be appreciated, thanks!
