Perhaps some of you are familiar with the historic Laurel Packinghouse? The Laurel is a nationally-designated heritage building and is the oldest and largest.
Most people understand that wine comes from grapes or fruits. Everyone understands that grapes are a crop–grown in the ground. Why is it that 100% BC grown wines cannot be tasted at BC Farmer's Markets–let alone sold ...

I live in Boston, USA. I took a vacation to British Columbia and discovered how incredibly fine are many of its wines (I refer to table wines, not icewines). Since then I have read similar accolades by some wine writers, but because production is so low they are rarely available elsewhere. Have others in Answerland made the same discovery during a B.C. vacation? Does anyone know if production is increasing? Are any of the B.C. wines, particularly the estates, available in the USA? If so where?.

I've been trying to get some news on British Columbia, specifically on wine and business, but whenever I search for them on other websites I'd have to pick them out from all the other news bits from other countries. Is there any news website that AT LEAST segregates their news by location?

I know that I have to sell my wine to the Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB), but am I allowed to go to bars, pubs, restaurants, liquor stores, hotels, etc. to speak with them about my product and then they can buy it from LDB ? Can I advertise my wines through any legal means: newspaper, radio, TV, Facebook, Google ads ?

I recently visited Vancouver and tasted several outstanding British Columbia wines from the Okanogan valley. Coming back to the States I was shocked that while you can easily buy wine from every corner of the globe, from Portugal to South Africa to Argentina, NOTHING seems to be available from our neighbor to the north! Does anyone know why that is and if it will be changing soon?
