  I bought it from a vender that was only in the area for a week. I am absolutly in love with this wine. In the platonic sense of course! buy...that was a typo lol i meant to say buy... well it say Bonarda Dolce Oltrepo' Pavese and then Denominazione Di Origine Controllata on the bottle...funny thing is it doesnt have a year on it so *shrug*

  Can you help me find this Italian Wine?

  My husband bought it while visiting somewhere in England, but the wine seems to be Italian. I will try and describe everything on the bottle, there isn't much. The front has a picture of a man with a mustache and he is wearing a hat, jacket and white shirt. The wine is called BONARDA DOLCE... D.O.C. with a gold signature underneath, Sereus Tourburius (it is in cursive, so I hope this is correct, the last 2 letters are hard to make out) The back says OLTREPO' PAVESE DENOMINAZIONE DI ORIGINE CONTROLLATA then has the gold signature again with the BONARDA DOLCE title underneath. 750 ml 8,5+4% vol There is no date, no address, nothing to help me find this. It is a very good sweet wine and we would love to get some more! Can anyone please help me find this wine and possibly where we can buy it here in the U.S.? None of the local stores where we live carry it and I've looked at online wine retailers but have had no luck. Thank you!

  Catalan wine and bodega recommendations? I'll be in the Costa Brava next week with access to a hire car and will be on the lookout for local wines. I typically enjoy robust but fruity un-oaked wines such as shiraz-merlot blends, Charbono which is also known as Bonarda in Latin America, Carmenere or Cotes Du Rhone. Could anybody recommend either of the following? 1 - Good local wines to buy in supermarkets or wineries 2 - Local vineyards where I can take a tour and buy direct 3 - Decent bistros or restaurants with good wine lists Many thanks
